2. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET

Jehovah God told Abram to look up towards the north, south, east and west and said to him that whatever he will see is his. “After Lot had separated from him, the LORD said to Abram, ‘Look from the place where you are. Look north and south, east and west, for I will give you and your offspring forever all the land that you see. For all the land which you see, to you will I give it, and to your seed for ever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust of the earth, then your offspring could be counted. Get up and walk around the land, through its length and width, for I will give it to you.” (Gen 13:14-17 [HCSB])
God not only promised to give him what he saw but the gift was so immense in size that he could not even walk around it.

“In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: The land of the Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.” (Gen 15:18-21)[KJV]
“And God brought Abram outside, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if you be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.” (Gen 15:5 [KJV]) God told Abram that if he is able to count the number of stars he was brought outside to see, then he will be able to number his children. Abram saw countless stars and God gave him countless children.
“Then Abram fell face down and God spoke with him: As for Me, My covenant is with you: you will become the father of many nations. Your name will no longer be Abram, but your name will be Abraham, for I will make you the father of many nations. I will make you extremely fruitful and will make nations and kings come from you.” (Gen 17:3-6) [HCSB]
What Abram saw is what he got!

Separate Yourself from Lot (Competitors) So As Have Time with God And He Will Give
You What You See

Separate yourself from your friends and colleagues who are competing with you, being driven by envy and trying to push you down and to belittle you. As you struggle to expand your territory, your competitors also want to expand like you. Know for sure that you are not in competition with anyone. Do not allow anyone to limit your abilities. You are competing with yourself and against yourself. It is like athletes who run very fast to break their own records and they find that in that process, they have won the race. God will only bless you when you leave the crowds and be separate. Crowds are notorious at dragging those on the move backwards as
they try to compromise you into their mob psychology thinking. God promised Abram what he saw on condition that he be separated from Lot as Lot had no share in the promise of God. God will not have anything to do with you if you are yoked with non believers. Paul told the believers who were from Corinth to “Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness? And what concord has Christ with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2Cor 6:14-18) [KJV]
Therefore, “come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord;” (2Cor 6:17) [HCSB] God is telling you that from the place you are, look around to see what God is about to give you. Explore your surroundings. God will give you the desires of your heart. There is a ram hidden in the thicket or a provision so momentous that it will change your life forever. Look around and you will see it. “And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram
caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
” (Gen 22:13) [KJV]
The Bible says in Mark 11:24 that “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” (Mark 11:24) [KJV]
See Yourselves as a Giant and Your Enemies as Grasshoppers
Some people see nothing good in them, they see themselves failing, not able, weaklings, that they cannot
overcome, unable, not making it and all manner of “can’ts.” They see the half empty glass instead of the half full glass. “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess the Promised Land; for we are well able to overcome it. But the twelve spies that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.” (Numbers 13:30-33) [KJV] And God
termed the negative report given by the ten spies (who were the majority) as an evil report. Some people see their problems as big as giants, and then see themselves as small as grasshoppers. They allow the problem to intimidate them the by giving it ascendancy and the problem continues to make them feel weak and powerless. See the giant as an easy target for you to kill with only one stone out of the five in your sling and you will slay the giant the way David
killed Goliath. Or do you see yourself as a giant and the problem facing you as small as a grasshopper for you to crush it under your feet. What you see is what you get!
God Told the Israelites to Stand Still and See the Salvation of the Lord
God wants you to relax, stand still and you will see the way He saves His children. “And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exod 14:13-14)
[KJV] The challenges that you are seeing today are for a moment and you will see them no more if you believe and have faith in God. God will fight for you for the battle is not yours but God’s. God will bend over backwards to stand between you and the enemy to protect you. God stood between the Israelite camp and the approaching Egyptian army so that they could not get near the Israelites the whole night. “And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.” (Exod 14:19-20) [KJV]
And during all the night “And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.” (Exod 14:21-22 [KJV]) What a combination of miracles all happening simultaneously so that the Egyptians whom they had seen would never be seen forever: the miracle of setting up a pillar of cloud and darkness barring the Egyptian army from getting close to the Israelites while drying the Red Sea to create a highway for the Israelites to cross on dry ground. God created a way where there was no way.
“In the morning, when God looked and saw the Egyptian army pursuing the Israelites, He caused the wheels of the chariots to be clogged with mud and after ensuring that all the children of Israel together with their livestock had crossed the Red Sea, He returned the sea back to its place swallowing all the Egyptian army. “He caused their chariot wheels to swerve and made them drive with difficulty. “Let’s get away from Israel,” the Egyptians said, “because Yahweh is fighting for them against Egypt! ” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may come back on the Egyptians, on their chariots and horsemen.” So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea returned to its normal depth. While the Egyptians were trying to escape from it, the LORD threw them into the sea. The waters came back and covered the chariots and horsemen and the entire army of Pharaoh that had gone after them into the sea. None of them survived.” (Exod 14:25-28) [HCSB]
When God tells you that the enemies you are seeing today you will never see them again, His word is true. Just stand still and do not fear or try to help yourself and you will see the salvation of the Lord. “And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians (your enemies) whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever.” (Exod 14:13) [KJV]
Stand Still and See the Salvation of The Lord For the Battle Is Not Yours but God’s
Stand still without fear of the disease that you have seen wasting your body, for God will separate you from the disease and annihilate it so completely that you shall never see it again forever. The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace (Exodus 14:14) Prophet Jahaziel, filled with the Spirit of God told the congregation to “Hearken you all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow go you down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and you shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be
with you.” (2Chr 20:15-17) [KJV]
Your Scars Will be Turned into Stars
I have seen people in hospital fighting for their life only to succumb to the terrible disease but God is telling those who believe that He will fight the disease for them so that they get healed for He is the Lord their Healer if they obey His voice and do all the commandments He is giving them this day. God told the Israelites that “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer.” (Exod 15:26 [ESV2011])
The scars a disease will leave on your body will be stars of testimony as you remember with gratitude how God saved you from the disease.
David Saw the Giant as a Target too Big Not to Miss with a Single Stone
What did David see? Did he see his small body and envied the seasoned muscles of Goliath the champion and feared greatly like everybody else? David did not see the size of the enemy but He saw the Mighty God on his side. Did he get discouraged by the king or by his brothers who told him to his face that he could not fight the giant? “And Saul said to David, you are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for you are but a youth, and he is a man of war from his youth.” (1Sam 17:33) [KJV] When David saw the giant, he saw the best opportunity of his life to prove to everybody that he was a giant killer and a giant slayer who would bring victory and honour to Israel and glory to God. David saw a target too big not to miss. Whenever you see a challenge, see it as an opportunity to invite God into the fight to fight for you. “Then said David to the Philistine, you come to me with a sword and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day will the LORD deliver you into mine hand; and I will smite you, and take your head from you; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saves not with sword
and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.” (1Sam 17:45-47) [KJV]

Whenever you see a challenge, see it as an opportunity to ride over that challenge. Bring your challenge under your feet as you convert the challenge into a stepping stone to victory. Make every challenge an opportunity the way an eagle gets excited on seeing an approaching storm. When people are being evacuated from an approaching storm, hurricane or strong winds, the eagle confronts the storm and flies towards the storm. When other birds get swept by storms, the eagle gets airlifted by the storm. It uses the principle of aerodynamics which is the science that deals with the flow of air and objects moving through that air. It is the interaction between air and objects moving through it. For the eagle to be uplifted by the storm, it has to position its wings and steady them for takeoff so that it rides on the storm. Pilots use the same adjustment of wings of aircraft so that the aircraft gets lifted by the air the aircraft is moving through during takeoff. The eagle knows full well that the greater the storm, the greater the uplifting. Once the eagle gets to the top of the skies it glides effortlessly in the high skies seeing the whole world. If it wants to fly from one country to another in search of food, it does not need a visa or passport. All that happens courtesy of the storm that uplifted it.
Start seeing your inward strength. If God is in you, then greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1John 4:4) [KJV]
Do not focus on the intensity and magnitude of your problem. Focus on the solution to your problem. Tell the problem that it is not bigger that Our Father who art in heaven, the creator of heaven and earth. Focus on the Greater One in you who has solutions to your problem, the one who has power to command storms to calm down. Focus on the one who can walk on the storm like it is a tarmac pitch the way Jesus walked on the raging waters of the Sea of Galilee (Matthew 14:29) Tell the storm that because Peter landed on the water with a thud after jumping out of the boat, you can also land on water with a thud. Believe that because Peter walked on water though for a few steps, the greater one in you will make you not only to walk on water and defy the force of gravity but also make you to fly through the air like Philip did when the Holy Spirit caught him up to airlift him from Gaza to Azotus for a testimony that the Holy Spirit has power to make those who believe to defy the law of gravity. “And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.” (Acts 8:39-40) [KJV]

Don’t Look on the Storm around You, Look unto Jesus
In the book of Mark 4 verses 36-41, we are told of the disciples of Jesus who were struggling to save themselves from being swallowed by the storm that was filling their boat with water. The more they cried of the devastating storm, the more it increased its intensity as it filled their boat with water. They more they looked on the storm around them, the more it beat them. They had forgotten to look inwards, forgetting that Jesus was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow. Jesus was sleeping in the midst of a ravaging storm. If Jesus Christ is in you, you will not sink because He is unsinkable. He created the heavens and the earth. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1-4) [KJV] “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:10-14 [KJV])
When You Look unto Jesus, You Will See Heaven Opened
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Heb 12:2) [KJV] “But Stephen, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.” (Acts 7:55-56) [KJV]
When you look stedfastly into heaven, you will definitely get it, and heaven will come down on earth for you. Always pray to God in the Spirit that “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). If you can see it with your spiritual eyes, you can get it. Stephen saw heaven opened and got a standing ovation from the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. “But he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.” (Acts 7:55-56 [KJV]) Go for it. For with God, nothing is impossible. If you can see heaven opened for you, you can get there. What Stephen saw in the last moments of his life is what he got.

Amen.
