Reading: Mark 4:36 [KJV]

“And when they had sent away the multitude they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.”

The disciples sent away the multitude so that hey would take Jesus into the ship. To send away the multitude means that you dismiss them and “come out of them and be separate.” (2 Cor. 6:17) Separate yourself from the madding crowd and take Jesus with you. Leave the crowd behind. Do not follow the majority because God does not follow the majority either. He is not a democrat. Out of the crowd, God chooses only a few. “For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:14 [KJV] Why should you follow the majority and maybe all the fools are on one side?

When going on a journey in a vessel or vehicle or venturing out, take Jesus with you during the journey. When entering a new house or a new job or a new business or new contract, take Jesus with you into the new area. When entering a new relationship or marriage, take Jesus with you there into the relationship. When doing an assignment or exam, attending hospital or interview, take Jesus with you as He is: God, Lord, Saviour, Deliverer, Healer, Companion, Comforter, Prince of Peace, Keeper (He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Ps 121:3) [KJV] Do not dare to go without Jesus for there are great dangers ahead: storms, accidents, temptations, failures, losses, diseases, difficulties, challenges, powers of the air and worst of all the devil and his demons.

Take Jesus the way He is as Lord of your life and destiny. The word Lord means owner, ruler and master. “But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” (1Cor 8:6) [KJV]

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.” (John 1:1-3)

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” (Colossians 1:14-16) [KJV]

Tell Jesus the Christ that if He does not go with you, then you are not going anywhere. Many people leave God out of their activities, claiming that God has nothing to do with it. Take Jesus along with you wherever you go. Always ensure that God is on board before embarking on a journey. If God is on your side, who or what can stand against you? Nothing.

Once you take Jesus into your ship, He goes into the hinder part of your ship. He is inside your ship, not in the other ships which are recorded as little ones. In the eyes of God you are special, the apple of His eye. The apple of the eye is the eyeball, or globe of the eye, with pupil in center, called “apple” from its round shape. Its great value and careful protection by the eyelids automatically closing when there is the least possibility of danger made it the emblem of that which was most precious and jealously protected. For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. (Zech 2:8 [KJV])

The Bible says that there were also with him other little ships. He chose to join your ship so as to help you cross over to the other side of the sea. He did not choose to go with the other ships which are recorded as “little ships.” Before the eyes of God you are not small or little. You are great and special. The moment He enters your ship, He makes you great because the ship is carrying the creator of heaven and earth.  “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1John 4:4) [KJV]

Take comfort that the greater one dwells in you. He will protect you and keep you from being destroyed by the severe storm that did not spare any of the other little ships. He stilled the storm and saved you from destruction. No one else survived that storm except the disciples who were in the ship that had Jesus in it.

Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Amen.
